Look Up
Take your eyes off the news. Take them off your situation. It's time to look up.
I know there is that little voice that is playing in your mind that 'you should have been more prepared' 'had more savings', that your dreams are never going to happen now. BUT LOOK UP.
’I lift up my eyes to the mountains—
where does my help come from?
My help comes from the Lord,
the Maker of heaven and earth.’
Psalms 121:1-2
Take your eyes off the storm and notice that God's not concerned one bit. That even in the chaos, in the change, in all these restrictions, God's not limited.
I know you feel like you can do nothing but you have the power to do this - Trust Him. Trust that he is a God that will never fail you, never go back on His promises.
‘I sought the Lord, and he answered me;
he delivered me from all my fears.
Those who look to him are radiant;
their faces are never covered with shame.’
Psalms 34:4-5
God wants the BEST for you. Not what you're now willing to settle for. Not just a job, but a pay rise. Not just affordable rent but a house. Not just to get into uni but the most perfect degree for you.
I was going for a walk yesterday and I decided to take a route that wasn't as well marked out. I found a hidden path that I had all to myself. It was beautiful.
I stood in the middle of what felt like this huge empty place and I felt God whisper to my spirit 'I never lost you'. That even when I've felt uncertain, unsure, or lost, we are never hidden from God's view. He sees us and he loves us.
As I was standing there these words came to me…
You find me in the open place
You find me going my own way
When all was lost
And the world was dark
I was never hidden from viewNo matter where I am
You'll always be right there
Right there
Even when I doubt
You wont fail me nowWhen I couldn't make out the path
I could always find your love
You set my feet on your rock
You never left my side.
When the future seems uncertain, would you turn to Jesus again? Don’t let the news and the reports take your attention, look up.
‘Look up into the heavens.
Who created all the stars?
He brings them out like an army, one after another,
calling each by its name.
Because of his great power and incomparable strength,
not a single one is missing.’
Isaiah 40:25-26
God is above it all, he is our protector, our shield. He is the one who is constant in every season. Let Him shine a ray of hope over your situation.
