What are you expecting?

Who has heard such a thing?
Who has seen such things?
Shall a land be born in one day?
Shall a nation be brought forth in one moment?
For as soon as Zion was in labor
she brought forth her children.
Shall I bring to the point of birth and not cause to bring forth?”
says the Lord;
“shall I, who cause to bring forth, shut the womb?”
says your God.

Isaiah 6:8-9

Last night I had prophetic dream where I was expecting.

I was on a hot air balloon ride packed with people, I was uncomfortable and frustrated…..when it suddenly dawned on me - in the dream - that I was pregnant.

It hit me. I'm about to give birth and this wave of fear came over me. What am I going to do? How am I going to figure this out? How can I prepare everything in time? But while engulfed in fear I looked over at God who was just at complete peace.

Suddenly the hot air balloon lands and labour starts. As I woke up from this dream, I just felt God say to me, “you're about to birth something, be expectant.“

As I was going about my day today, I just couldn't shake the stirring that this word wasn’t just for me, but it was for someone else today.

I don’t know what season you've been in; I don’t know what dream you thought was dead, or impossible or maybe you didn't even know you had that desire - but I'm here to tell you BE EXPECTANT.

It's time to 'wake up' from apathy, blindness, oblivion and ask God to reveal to you what you are about to birth. Just like in the dream I was experiencing discomfort, frustration and sickness unaware that I was pregnant. Maybe you too have been confused by these feelings that are simply symptoms of the fact that you're 'expecting'.

As I asked the Lord what the sudden influx of fear and anxiety meant, he showed me it was the final attack from the devil to delay the birth, to shut up the womb, to shut down what is about to bubble out from inside you. BUT it will NOT succeed.

Let the fear pass over you, embrace the Lord and His supernatural peace.

As Isaiah writes above 'shall a nation be brought forth in one moment', this speaks to the suddenness and greatness of the moment of the birth. Expect it to happen suddenly. Your 'labour pains' will be short lived for the glory of what is about to be birthed.

It will be greater than you could have made space or preparations for. But everything that is required is ready. It will burst forth. The time is now. Once the labour starts nothing can be done to stop it.

So, position yourself. Ready to catch. Ready to receive it.

Ask the Lord, 'What am I expecting?'.

….so shall my word be that goes out from my mouth;
it shall not return to me empty
but it shall accomplish that which I purpose,
and shall succeed in the thing for which I sent it.
“For you shall go out in joy
and be led forth in peace;
the mountains and the hills before you
shall break forth into singing,
and all the trees of the field shall clap their hands.
Instead of the thorn shall come up the cypress;
instead of the brier shall come up the myrtle;
and it shall make a name for the Lord,
an everlasting sign that shall not be cut off.”

Isaiah 55:11-13
