Hi.

Welcome to TheStyleofFaith! I share my thoughts on Faith, Fashion and Food -would love if you could join me on this beautiful journey.

It's already done.

It's already done.

How many times have you been told 'don’t celebrate too soon'? Well-meaning people advise you to 'hold off until it actually happens' or 'don’t get too excited'.

But so often we let the fear of being wrong stop us from really believing that we heard God right. Those times where you've even refused to write down a word God gave you just in case you looked back and felt stupid.

But you know what, that worry is always quickly outweighed when I read back on journals and see that God did exactly what he said he would do. I want to shout to anyone that would listen 'GOD DID IT - SEE?!!!!'. And then I kick myself for not claiming it as a given.

God word was always going to come to pass, so instead of worrying - I should have been celebrating!

It's not naivety, it's not foolish or arrogant to assume that God is going to stick to his word. Time after time God has proven that even when it doesn't make sense in the natural, anything is possible with him!

‘It is the same with my word.
I send it out, and it always produces fruit.
It will accomplish all I want it to,
and it will prosper everywhere I send it.’
Isaiah 55:11

It's so easy to confine our faith into what we deem as possible. It's easy to forsake being bold because of the fear of feeling stupid.

Yes, it doesn't make sense to celebrate before the victory. YET how many victories in the Bible were only unlocked as soon as people stated praising.

‘At the very moment they began to sing and give praise, the Lord caused the armies of Ammon, Moab, and Mount Seir to start fighting among themselves.
The armies of Moab and Ammon turned against their allies from Mount Seir and killed every one of them. After they had destroyed the army of Seir, they began attacking each other.
So when the army of Judah arrived at the lookout point in the wilderness, all they saw were dead bodies lying on the ground as far as they could see. Not a single one of the enemy had escaped.’
2 Chronicles 20:22-24

An attitude of praise enables us to resist the doubt and remind us of who has already won the victory. You don’t need to wait for that result, that promotion or job opportunity to start celebrating!

It's already been signed off by God, it's already been approved by him and don’t we know that ' he works all things for the good of those who love him?' (Rom 8:28)

Just the very fact that it doesn't make sense or seems impossible, it’s really all the proof that we need that God is going to work supernaturally on our behalf.

Don’t let uncertainty limit your faith, don’t allow the unknown to make you forget who you know God to be. He is faithful. He can be trusted. He is true to his word and he only wants what's best for you.

So now is the time to celebrate. Don’t wait for the natural to line up with the supernatural before you start praising - start now. Even if its just to make the devil mad!

There nothing that encourages me more than looking back on the times I praised, I showed up, I had faith when I had no idea what God had planned. It's learning to have that unwavering trust in God no matter what the natural looks like.

Then Jesus told him, “Because you have seen me, you have believed; blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed.”
John 20:29

It’s already done friends.

‘Do not be afraid or discouraged, for the Lord will personally go ahead of you. He will be with you; he will neither fail you nor abandon you.’
Deuteronomy 31:8
