Passwords of Praise

Passwords of Praise

As we step into this new year, as everything starts back up we need to recognise that for a new season we need new revelation.

You know all those old techniques you’ve been using to try and unlock your blessing? They’re not going to work friends.

It can feel almost as if there is a missing link between the now and what God has promised you. As though you’re stuck in transition.

You've been praying, seeking God's wisdom for your next steps but you need a 'password' to cross over into all that God has for you.

Well you’re not alone. In the last couple of weeks I’ve been seeking God and praying ‘Lord give me a key to unlock this next season'.

He’s taught me that the key is Praise. I know it seems insignificant, an 'added extra' if you will but praise is a weapon.

It's the key that can shift everything that is stagnant in your life. Praise disrupts, praise adjusts and praise agitates all that could be holding you back.

'But about midnight when Paul and Silas were praying and singing hymns of praise to God, and the prisoners were listening to them; suddenly there was a great earthquake, so [powerful] that the very foundations of the prison were shaken and at once all the doors were opened and everyone’s chains were unfastened.'
Acts 16: 25-26

Praise is your password for breakthrough. Praise enables you to trade in your pain for God’s peace. Your uncertainty for God's security. Your fear for faith. Praise brings clarity.

By shifting your focus off yourself and onto God you unlock an atmosphere of expectation.

When you praise you allow your posture and perspective to be adjusted, which enables God to unlock your full potential.

When you declare who God is you align yourself with what he has said about you. You allow God to step in and take over.

‘Therefore, let us continually offer to God a sacrifice of praise.'
Hebrews 13:15

Praise unlocks your faith and challenges you to believe in the impossible. Praise is what shifts you out of your flesh and into the spirit. It shifts your mindset.

You can start to operate with a heavenly perspective which allows you to defy logic and reason and just go with God's prompting.

If we want to cross over this year, we need to put on our garments of praise. Praise marks you with God's presence and it signifies where you have placed your trust.

It speaks of your faith when you can praise even before you have the victory. It requires your humility, to enter into his presence knowing that you can’t get to the promise without him.

‘Enter his gates with thanksgiving
and his courts with praise;
give thanks to him and praise his name.’
Psalms 100:4

Praise requires you to recognise that the missing link between you and your promise is God. That you can’t do the journey alone.

It's not about how much you do but who you choose to look to that’s going to enable you to receive your breakthrough.

'As they began to sing and praise, the Lord set ambushes against the men of Ammon and Moab and Mount Seir who were invading Judah, and they were defeated.'
2 Chronicles 20:22

In order for you to cross over into the next season, in order to walk in the promises of God this year you need to learn to put on praise.

The journey is not always going to be easy and we can so easily fall into the habit of trying to do everything in our own strength.

But this is a fight that we win when in our weakest moments we choose to praise him.

So let's humble ourselves before God and let praise be the gateway for God’s promises to come through.

'Blessed are the people who know the passwords of praise, who shout on parade in the bright presence of God.
Delighted, they dance all day long; they know who you are, what you do—they can’t keep it quiet!
Your vibrant beauty has gotten inside us you’ve been so good to us! We’re walking on air!
All we are and have we owe to God, Holy God of Israel, our King!'
Psalms 89:15-18
