Hi.

Purpose in your Proximity

Purpose in your Proximity

Have you ever been in the same room as someone you’re close too and you don’t even have to see them to know that they’re there? You may hear the voice, recognize their footsteps or you ‘just know’.

It’s the same with God friends. When we pursue a constant unfiltered regular connection with him, we become so aware of his presence. His voice captures our attention, where he goes we follow.

‘My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me’
John 10:27

Our focus determines our direction. When we fix our attention on God, we will naturally draw near to him and want to be in close proximity to him. You can’t dance in step with the spirit if you’re not within arm’s length friends. So what is your proximity to his presence?

‘Draw near to God and He will draw near to you. ‘
James 4:8

How often do we lose sight of our purpose because we have stopped pursuing God’s presence? It ‘s only through intentional unfiltered, regular connection with God that his plan for us will continue to be revealed. God is always speaking to us but we can often miss it when our focus is on our circumstances or problems. We need to remove all distractions and tune into him.

‘The Lord would speak to Moses face to face, as one speaks to a friend.’
Exodus 33:11

God wants to have a close and personal relationship with you. Sometimes when we are in His presence we can feel unworthy, we can let shame or sin prevent us from stepping in fully. But Jesus has bridged the gap for us so that we get full access!

I found this out and thought it was so amazing. The most common Hebrew term for ‘presence’ is Panim which means ‘face’ - this implies a close and personal encounter with God friends.

'But now in Christ Jesus you who once were far away have been brought near by the blood of Christ'
Ephesians 2:13

So would you approach His presence from the position of God’s son or daughter? You’re not a slave, you don’t have to keep your distance, you can run into His arms with faith that he receives you just as you are.

So would you stop pretending you have it all together? Would you stop letting your attention be consumed by things that only get you off track from God’s perfect plan?

When you maintain intimate proximity to God's presence you're able to reach your FULL potential!

So I pray that this reminds you to be purposeful in positioning yourself in God’s presence.

‘Call to me and I will answer you and tell you great and unsearchable things you do not know.’
Jeremiah 33:3
